I’ve always looked to films for an escape, and that’s especially true now. But in this era of superhero movies and Oscar contenders that’s often hard to find. Especially if what you’re looking for is a romantic comedy where you know things will work out all right in the end.
Enter The Space Between, the debut film from a former superhero - Amy Jo Johnson (Power Rangers, Felicity, Flashpoint). In this heart-felt movie, small town Mitch finds out that his long longed-for daughter is not his own. He bolts from his family and goes in search of the man who tore it apart. Along the way he finds…

The "Felicity" and "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" alum has had a run with the Canadian-made police drama enduring enough to see it switch American networks. After four cycles on CBS - where it was used principally as summer programming - the show moves in-season when first-run episodes resume Tuesday, Oct. 18, on ION.

Born and raised in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Amy Jo Johnson, 31, always wanted to perform and be in the limelight. She got that chance while competing all over the world as a gymnast until the age of 17. Soon after Johnson decided to pursue acting and honed her skills in community theater and while studying at New York's American Musical Dramatic Academy. Two years later, she moved to California and hasn't looked back since.
Johnson's first professional job was a perfect fit since, as one of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", Johnson was able to combine both her athletic and acting talents.…

At a young age, Amy Jo Johnson decided she wanted to become an artist. She is a true creative; no facet of her life is left untouched by her art. Whether she is staring in roles in television (Flashpoint, The Division, Felicity) and movies (Without Limits, Interstate 60), performing and recording music (she sings and plays guitar), painting or journaling, Amy Jo appears to weave her instincts for creativity and family with grace.
A very private person, Amy Jo is dedicated to her family and nurturing her inner life. In 2008 she gave birth to her daughter, Francesca. Taking time off of work to…
Joining a successful show can be overwhelming, but Amy Jo Johnson has stepped into her new role as a police services aide on "The Division" with ease. Not surprising for a woman who has played everything from 1960s rock star Nansi Nevins to Pink Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and a college co-ed. Here, the actress dishes about donning a uniform, her passion for painting and making music, and what it's like to be a producer.
Has "The Division" squad welcomed you with open arms?

AMY JO JOHNSON
Star of CTV's Flashpoint
"My dad was a used car salesman and he sold me my first car when I was 17, a 1976 Mercury Comet. It was a pretty baby blue. This car only cost me a hundred bucks. I ended up selling it the next year to a friend for $150. Actually, my dad sold me the next three cars that I had, including the Honda Civic I drove to Los Angeles. I bought that one for $500, the signal arm was gone, so we had to stick a screwdriver in its place. I ended up selling the Honda for $1,500. I guess I am my father's daughter!"
From her breakout role as Kimberly Hart the Pink Ranger on Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers to critically acclaimed roles on Felicity and beyond, Amy Jo Johnson has found her home as Jules Callaghan in the Canadian-based series, Flashpoint. The television series about a special tactical team that rescues hostages, busts gangs, defuses bombs, and takes on other tough cases continues in 2012 with season four. "The Many Faces of Amy Jo"
Girls' Life, October/November 1998
Introduction: Amy Jo Johnson, Julie on the WB's Felicity, has been a ghost, a vampire, and a Power Ranger. She's a ready made Halloween Party!
How did you get your start acting?
Amy Jo Johnson
I've wanted to act since I was 7. I started off being a gymnast. I loved competing and performing in front of people. When I auditioned for Power Rangers, I think that helped me get the part.
Which Power Ranger were you? ((Umm...duh!))
Amy Jo Johnson
I was Kimberly - The Pink one! ((::applause::))
Amy Jo and Rick Turner
This is Rick Turner from HealthTalk Interactive, and we're talking today with Amy Jo Johnson. Amy Jo plays the character of "Julie Emrick", Felicity's best friend on the popular television drama "Felicity", and she's also loved by children all over the world for her starring role as the "Pink Power Ranger" in "The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers".
Now, although Amy Jo's character on "Felicity" has had to deal with many different obstacles, they don't come close to comparing to the challenges she's had to face in her real life. In 1997, Amy Jo's mother Christine was…
There is no question that Flashpoint is one of the hottest new shows of the summer season. The CTV-produced series was picked up by CBS and has steadily been climbing up the ratings chart. The show follows the lives of SRU cops, the unit that is responsible for high-risk situations that can include anything from hostage situations to gang busts. While the cast is primarily male, Amy Jo Johnson (formerly of Felicity and What About Brian) is the lead female and I had the opportunity to talk to her about the show, her character and her past at the CTV Upfront presentation in June.
